Want Father Christmas to visit your railway?
As everyone knows, Santa’s preferred transport is a sleigh. But if you have wheels underneath to roll along a 32 or 45mm garden railway, then this is the ideal solution.
Made from birch plywood and MDF, this sleigh can be pushed or pulled along the railway.
The overall length is 215mm and 100mm high. It’s 100mm wide (all approximate).
Couplings are part of the chassis, so it’s not really suitable for additional ‘chopper’ or commercial centre buffer couplings (unless you want to modify it). Minimum radius is 2’6” (probably a bit less).
32mm / 45mm re-gaugeable.
The model brings a bit of Christmas cheer to a railway. It’s ideal for enhancing with gift wrapped presents and scale sacks in the back of the sleigh, and boot laces to act as reins (these aren’t supplied)
Available as either a kit or as a finished model.
Kit: Not too hard to make, with easy to follow illustrated instructions. However it’s one of those kits where you have to glue ten pieces together all at once, so it’s not really a beginner’s kit.
Pre-Made: Available in bright red and white, with gold runners just as illustrated.
Supplied as 32mm or 45mm gauge, it can be easily re-gauged.
NB:- Sorry, but Father Christmas is not supplied with this sleigh wagon. As soon as we know who makes one, we’ll post it here (I know someone does as I bought one at the National Garden Railway Show, but I can’t remember from which company).
